A WISE man once said... actually he said it yesterday at about 9.35pm, the wise man goes the name of..... ok, he told me not to quote him! BUT he once said..........
QUOTE: I can't tap dance for rhythm and style but I can really get my feet going!
Now I couldn't tell you what we were even talking about but the quote really really made me laugh! My husband is a very funny man (whoops sorry THEO).
I have had a really, really difficult couple of weeks with James, if you frequent my blog (THERAPY) you would certainly know all about my rough days.
But I woke this morning with a new attitude and a NEW MOTTO (thanks again THEO).
How true is it... anyone that knows me knows that I am a PERFECTIONIST. Not a perfectionist in the way I look but in what I do. Anything I do with my children. And when James was diagnosed his Psychologist put such pressure on me when she said, 'what you do today will shape the adult he becomes, you can change so much and bring him out of the shadows' (not these exact words, but you get the gist).
So here I am doing therapy with James every single day, externally and in the home, we drive around the country side for all his appointments and I never stop researching for what will help James, whether its gut health, sensory therapies or metal detoxification.
I put so much pressure on myself to get it RIGHT!
Although I wear the hat of speech therapist, occupational therapist, nutritionist, natropath, massage therapist, MUM etc etc etc etc.... I am not a specialist in any of these fields and I have to remember I can make mistakes and I am doing a FANTASTIC JOB!
That's right, I am doing a bloody amazing job.....
I can't tap dance for rhythm and style but I can really get my feet going!!!!
Actually if you ask my old TAP teacher Mrs V she may say I had a little style and maybe a tiny bit of rhythm... WINK WINK!
Today I am not perfect, tomorrow I wont be perfect but I will KEEP MY FEET MOVING!
Whatever it takes!
