WE ARE BACK!
Before I go on to bore you with all my details can I just tell you all that Roxy Jacenko liked a photo of mine on Instagram. Major, major happy moment for me! I love her! If you don't know who she is she is a PR Queen here in Australia and her gorgeous daughter Pixie is an Instagram superstar who has her own business, Pixie Bows. I am still stoked!
Ok, so Saturday morning was a hard one for me. James was in one of his uncomfortable sensory seeking moods. When in this mood James likes to tear the house apart. He started with his kitchen drawer, he has a drawer in the kitchen that he can go to as he wishes. It has colouring things, small toys, really its just a James JUNK drawer. So he pulled it all out and threw it all over the floor. Then he proceeded to his bedroom, then Scarlett's room and the final straw for me was the ball pitt! I absolutely had collecting 5000 balls from the floor 500 times a day.
I am a very impulsive and spontaneous person. Quick google search and phone call to Hubby who was at work, within 30 minutes I had a hotel booked and was starting to pack.
Theo got home just after 12pm and we ran away!
James and Scarlett were so excited.... oh and MUMMY, mummy was so excited!
We have had the best weekend in Sydney. We all walked the street of the City,d id a little shopping, ate yummy food. OMG had the best doughnuts! James even called all his specialists and had phone conversations with them in the hotel room (pretend of course), it was so funny listening to him because he was talking to them exactly the way I do. We visited Darling Harbour and James and Scarlett's favourite moment was the Wildlife Zoo. They are at such wonderful ages and to see them so excited to see the animals is so heart warming.
James had NO meltdowns while we were away at all. He absolutely was a pleasure!
We came back early yesterday so that Daddy could relax. He has been super busy. As we took the turn off for home James started to lose his SNIZZLE. He did not want to come home! Bless him, he was having so much fun. So to defuse the meltdown I had to take him to town to get his favourite thing so that I could get him into the house. WATER BALLOONS.
Today is day 1 of Term 4 here. That means day 1 of chaos. We go back to our full on James Schedule today. Its been a great 2 weeks with limited therapy but I am glad its starts again, its so important for James to have that chaos in his life. Its hard on Mummy and Daddy but the improvements he has made because of the chaos is all worth it!!! WHATEVER IT TAKES!
