My computer is finally deciding to work again... eye roll. The entire weekend I have had issues with the internet, website, computer and my phone. I dare say that it was the workings of the FULL MOON that hit on Sunday morning.
So we have had the BEST weekend. Hubby had to go to Cairns for a work conference. He flew my Mum over from Tasmania to help me out with the kiddies and spend some quality time. We have had a great time... jam packed with lots and lots of laughter! It was a beautiful warm weekend so we spent most of the hours outside enjoying the sunshine. Summer is coming! James had a pretty good weekend. He was very present an loved having his Ninnie around. The best part for me was the kids asking her for everything instead of me. The only pain in the bum when Mum comes is the 4.30am wake up on Monday morning to commence the 3 hour round trip to Sydney airport. I suppose its a small price to pay, but today I am exhausted.
I have really missed writing over the weekend. I feel like I had so much to talk about but now that I have sat down its all just escaped my mind. James has his psychologist appointment this week. Its a follow up on progress appointment. I am so nervous. I know that he has come so far since she last saw him in February but I still am really nervous. I really hope we blow her away with all our achievements!
So one thing that Ninnie purchased when she was here was a SCOOTER for James. My gosh is he GOOD! I had NO idea that he would be so good at scooting. He scoots around the whole house. Gets off the couch and scoots to the kitchen to ask me for things etc. Its fantastic... it can only be really good for him. It really brings to life a quote from temple Grandin:
"Kids need to be exposed to different things in order to develop. A child's not going to find out he likes to play a musical instrument if you never exposed him to it..." Temple Grandin
How True!! Maybe I should buy James a baby grand piano.... LOL maybe then he will be the next MOZART. He likes to listen to Mozart, so its not too far fetched.
Welcome! Welcome! Welcome to James' Health Journey something I started to help me get through the good days and the bad days, why pay a psychologist when I can put it all on paper right?! A diary where I could look back and see what worked and what didn't. Ultimately I want to bring awareness to Autism Spectrum Disorders and show the world that these amazing little humans are well AMAZING! And with the right therapies, endless love, positive vibes and support these beautiful souls can shine out away from the shadows! When James was diagnosed his psychologist said to me 'are you ready for three years of full time early intervention', my response was WHATEVER IT TAKES! So here we are..... Thank you for following us and enjoy the ride! @jameshealthjourney
