Well hello there everybody!
Missed a blog yesterday, I was too busy making memories with my little babes!
So today will be DAY 1 SOBER!!!
Last night I went for an ASD Mums dinner and I had not 1 but 4 alcoholic beverages!
Its so nice to have dinner with like minded people. I met two new mums who also have children on the spectrum of similar age. It's great to be able to share some of my knowledge and gain new information from others on the same journey. A great evening with new friends!
I just wanted to clarify something however for those of you that read my blog or follow our journey on Instagram or Facebook. I DID NOT decide to go public with our journey for any other reason than to help other families and bring awareness to ASD. END OF STORY!
This bullshit of people going around saying that I think I am better than everybody else and that I think I know everything about Autism is hurtful and untrue. Oh and that I have a stick up my ass. I can't help if I look like I have a stick up my ass people, I trained hard core in the art of Ballet... its called good posture! Jealously really seems to be a curse, hey! I don't jam my journey down your throat, don't follow! SIMPLE! What you see is what you get with me. I am an open, honest person and have no time for negativity or story telling people. I don't play games and you won't find me coming for coffee to sit around and bitch about others. Its all about making a difference for James and all other children on the spectrum who need SUPPORT. So rather than bashing each other how about supporting each other! You can get all huffy with me writing this here but when I started this blog I wanted it to be a true representation of my day which includes my feelings, yes I may look like a cold stone fish but I have feelings!
So its 12.45pm and I just got home with the gremlins.
This morning we headed out early to Bubble & Bounce, we had the best time! Scarlett spilt a giant orange juice all over herself because she is MISS INDEPENDENT, managed to make a 6 year old cry because she pulled her hair and James managed to fall off the fold-able chair and smash his head on the floor. But still we had great proprioceptive and vestibular fun! Very important for the sensory seeking soul!
After B & B I decided now that we are out, lets head to the supermarket and do the grocery shopping! Oh HA HA HA. Never again! Today I realized how spoilt we are with online shopping!
So James and Scarlett wanted to fill my trolley with everything I DID NOT want. So it was a shit fight the entire 20+ isles. Then we get to the register and had the SLOWEST cashier in history. James dictated which bags what item went in (EYE ROLL). Johny may have been the slowest cashier on the planet but he was very patient! Thank you Johny for allowing James to pay multiple times, manage your packing skills and test your patience.
He has certainly tested my patience this morning and no doubt will continue to test them all day.
Thanks for reading. I look forward to feeling much more positive tomorrow.
Sage stick is about to come out
