What a day we had YESTERDAY. BONDI, oh BONDI!
I really do like Bondi and we go there often. Two of James' specialists are in Bondi and I love the atmosphere and I love the shopping.
BUT yesterday was a challenge navigating our double pram through Westfield, 3001 people looking down at their phones... NO ONE looks up! I actually often imagine the front of my pram has spikes on it.... yesterday I wish it actually did!
So James' ears are a TREAT! The ENT is very happy with him and his speech progression was noted by the specialist.
On the other hand Scarlett failed her hearing test and has pretty severe fluid and inflamed adenoids! He said it runs in the family... James and Scarlett you can thank DADDY for this wonderful issue (LOL).
So poor little Miss Scarletts birthday party has to be cancelled due to the ENT wanting to do the surgery as soon as possible.
So the car ride home was pressure headache territory! Like to the MAX! I managed to cancel everything and everyone in the car ride home, whilst listening to James whinge for 2 hours and Scarlett snore (thankful that she slept all the way home).
So today is FRIDAY... it wasn't suppose to be a HOME day. We actually had stuff to do today but little Miss is a miserable mess and MR J MAN is refusing to leave the house.... this happens when he has had a LOT of sensory stimulation the day before.
At present they are sitting in front of their IPADs but I am thankful for those things at the moment because it means I can sit and write whilst having a Tea and I have managed to clean the kitchen and start the laundry.
Deep breath... you know it never EVER ends! I am feeling a little overwhelmed this morning. James' schedule is already insane as it is and this month he has a lot of his specialist 'check in' appointments added to that and now we have Scarletts surgery and extra appointments... all far away from our house.
Why doesn't Wollongong have any decent specialists?! We have to travel to his immunologist, gastroenterologist, ENT, speech therapist, paediatrician and his dietitian is a Facetime call because she is really far away. And up until this week we traveled to his Occupational therapist... thankfully Wollongong now has an amazing sensory OT!!!!
Or is it that I am just super fussy with who touches our kids?
People often ask me why we travel to Bondi for the ENT specialist when Wollongong has 532 of them.... UM because he is seriously the best in the business!
All I have to think is in 2 months... 2 months we will be cruising the South Pacific and all this will be a distant memory while I am sipping CHAMPAGNE chasing James and Scarlett through the ships corridors...... Can't WAIT!
